The Threshold

You have arrived at the threshold.

In Le Guin’s Earthsea, the threshold is where a person speaks their true name for the first time — not the name the system assigned, but the one their life makes when the conditions are right. You don’t linger at a threshold. You step through it.

This one opens into two rooms.

The Table

See what others have brought.

A book that rearranged someone. A film that sounded different through a particular body. A practice encountered in a language the reviewer thinks and feels in. Every piece was carried here by the person it reached.

Share What Reached You

Set something down.

A book, a film, a piece of music, a moment — something reached you and you want to tell us how. Not a rating. Not a summary. An encounter, reported back through the specific instrument of the person who had it.
